Goals and Objectives
- Help students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT, SAT, SAT II and later the graduate exams as well.
- Point students to resources they will need in their careers. Work with students who cannot afford after school tutoring.
- Connect students with offices that will allow them to shadow in order to gain experience. Too many students graduate from college without knowing what they want to do so we want to work with them to help them see where they can use what they have been given.
- Plan educational activities to introduce students to learning outside the classroom
- Offer leadership summits where students can come to learn what it means to be a leader. We will invite leaders to come and share insight.
- Encourage students to start thinking critically by encouraging reading and writing.
- Show students places where they can volunteer and help in building schools and equipping the people who will serve as teachers.
- Teach students to start thinking about the Global issues on ground.
- Train teachers to be effective as they train the leaders of tomorrow.
- Distribute books like THINK BIG to high school students who are willing to learn from Ben Carson.
- Establish the Math Ambassador Program (MAP) in every high school. This program involves students teaching students- learning is enhanced greatly when this happens.
- Try to have film viewing sessions where we play movies that are inspirational to encourage the students.
